About The Show

Project Nova is a serialized science-fiction thriller. The show follows four subjects of a mysterious scientific experiment as they find themselves searching for answers about where...and who they are. Project Nova is part of the Evil Kitten Production family and is created in Chicago, IL.

What Is Project Nova?

Project Nova is an ensemble show that harkens back to such science fiction favorites as Stargate SG-1 or Farscape. The goal was to create an immersive sci-fi thriller that fully utilized the audio format. While the storytelling is highly cinematic, the show attempts to evoke the sounds, moods, and themes of an epic sci-fi story through audio alone. Make no mistake, Project Nova was made to be listened to.

From the first episode, listeners are placed directly in the shoes of the newly awoken subject of Project Nova.

As the story unfolds, the listener joins the subjects of Project Nova as they begin to make sense of the world they have awoken into.

Season One and Two consist of eight episodes released weekly (with a two week break after Episode IV) on Wednesday.

Each episode runs approximately 15-20 minutes.

Project Nova is free to listen to! All of our recording equipment was provided by Will Snyder and Rachel Craig of Evil Kitten Productions. Other expenses (domain space, merchandise, paying cast and crew) are paid for through the generous support of our Patreon patrons.

Who Is Project Nova For?

Everyone! Well, not everyone. Project Nova does include a fair amount of strong language, violence, depictions of enclosed spaces, and robot spiders. We do not recommend the show for children.

Where and When Can I Find This Show?

Project Nova is released weekly on Wednesday. You can find episodes of Project Nova in all of the usual places: iTunes, Podchaser, Stitcher, TuneIn, PodcastAddict, etc...

Just search for "Project Nova".

Whose Idea Was This?

Project Nova is the brain-child of Aaron Sarka. Writing on Project Nova began in 2016.

Aaron Sarka was a writer and marketing manager for Evil Kitten Productions at the time and co-founder, Will Snyder, asked him for new audio drama ideas. Aaron had already written the first two episodes of the show and presented them to Will who promptly gave him the go-ahead to start production. And the rest is history!

How Do You Pay For This?

Project Nova is listener funded through the Evil Kitten Productions Patreon. All Patreon funds are shared between the different Evil Kitten Productions. This money helps pay for equipment, domain space, merchandise, and paying our cast and crew.

What Do People Think of The Show?

A fun pressure cooker

Flawless sound design, solid acting and carefully crafted story make this audio drama an intriguing mystery. Reminiscent of Jean-Paul Sartre’s play No Exit, and Ridley Scott’s Alien movies, this story will definitely keep you riveted.

Awesome stuff!

I've been loving this series so far! There's a strong central mystery and very distinct characters. Evil Kittens are clearly putting a lot of work into their productions, and it's great to see Aaron Sarka being given the freedom to demonstrate his distinct and compelling style. Really looking forward to seeing how the story plays out, and to finding out what the hell is going on!
